Sean Connery

Thomas Sean Connery (born on the 25th of August 1930 in Edinburgh) is a Scottish actor. His filmography is impressive , besides eclectic choices , it should be noted that he played the role of Agent 007 , James Bond, repeatedly.

Sean Connery comes from a very humble background . On the arrival of his little brother Neil, he was eight years old, and he had to work to earn a living. Sean Connery dropped out of school at the age of 17 years old and engaged in the British Navy for a brief time. He had to be repatriated because of a stomach ulcer. It was in the navy he made his two tattoos that became famous. The first said: " Mum and Dad " and the second : "Scotland forever".

Member of the Order of the British Empire, Sean Connery was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2000, in recognition of his career in films and the services rendered to the British arts. Proud of his Scottish heritage, he publicly displayed his support for Scottish Independence Movement.
He performed many different roles, including that of a lieutenant of the US Army in "A Bridge Too Far," that of a Franciscan monk in the film by Jean-Jacques Annaud "In the Name of the Rose" and the an immortal in the film "Highlander", which takes place precisely in Scotland!
